Oh, me too BB----just something about that keeps me up nights!

Shelby how do those mount--through-mounted with headliner removed or something like self-tapping screws holding them in place? Has to be some holes for the wiring.

Looks nice though---can't deny that!

setting them up was the dificult side to this, you know just making them straight... up the ladder, down the ladder, up the ladder, down the ladder... you see where this is going...

soory i didnt do a write up on installing them, but im just bad with that... but yeah pulled the head liner, marked the light and placement on top, and yes out came the drill... 3 holes for each light, 2 sheet metal screws and the hole for the wire, 1 wire self grounding.... before i screwed them down, i used a dab of clear silicon in the 2 screw holes.... after mounted and wired, i went inside the van and finished up by putting another dab of silicon in the hole where the wire passes thru... good thing to, cause about an hour after i finished up, it started pouring and hard.... all thru the night... this morn, bone dry inside!!!

Thanks!! I agree, I wasn't too sure how they would look, try google searching for some time now... Looking to see how they would look and found nothing so I just "winged" it... Love the results... Now if I could just find a front bumper cover or valance I Like... That will set it off!

That's okay on not writing a full blown report on your process---I was just curious is all. Dealing with big rigs that seem to leak through holes in the roof I was interested to see what steps you'd taken to stop this before it even started.

The few times I've poked holes through the body rubber grommets were used for wire runs---lets me know chafing and a short is much less likely.

Sounds like you did a good job and its a nice look too--thanks for sharing!
