Reese Elite Hitch Install W/Factory Prep
I saw there was some interest in pics for the Reese Elite Hitch so here are some pics!
This is what "preassembled" looks like-Not much to put together-just needed to bolt the release handle on and pin the head on. Will take you longer to read the manual.
Here it is in the truck-the latches were perfectly adjusted.

It is a great hitch! The factory prep is a great idea to begin with, goodbye to rails in my bed forever. But then to add the factory hitch, although pricey, Makes for a slick combo. At 25k it's overkill for my 5er but I sure don't worry about its strength. I also notice how quiet it is (no clunking) compared to hitches I've had in the past.

Same route I went Chad. I found mine in January for around $850 delivered. Beat's the heck out of Ford's price. Then I sold the wiring that came with it on eBay for around $75 so I got the whole deal done for less than $800! They are a little more pricy now, but can still be found for under $950.

I was under 800 after I sold my wiring that came with it for 75. You don't need it if you have the factory prep. Prices vary and lots of them can be found in the 1200 range. You just need to do a google shopping search for the cheapest price on the net, order from etrailer, and have them do their 110% price match.
