Front disk brake shield.? Rotting away. Where to find ?

On my truck the disk break shields on both front wheels are really badly rusted. I removed them due to the condition of them. I think it's kinda silly not having them on there.

Does anyone have a good set they want to sell or can someone tell me where I can get a set?
Thanks

If all else fails check a local pick-n-pull. There might be a good set sitting around...

Dont worry about them. When ever I am in there on an axle and they are rusted, I just get rid of them. I tow with almost all of my truck and have no adverse issues

Yep, just leave them off. I have removed them on every vehicle I've owned.

I agree, leave 'em off. All they are good for is collecting sticks and mud when you are in the woods...

Not shields per say they aid in cooling the rotors, like others that posted before me I haven't replaced them on my 94 and no don't miss them a bit.

If you don't live in and tow heavy loads through mountainous type terrain fairly regular, need the added cooling they'd provide for on long down hill runs? then no you really don't need em either.

I just keep cutting away the crappy sections. Most performance cars don't even have them anymore from the factory because they have 4 wheel disc brakes, larger rims and lower profile tires and can fit larger rotors so they don't have the heat dissipation issues of a truck hauling weight with only two small front disc breaks. Unfortunately we don;t have the best designed braking systems.

Mine was missing when I got it. When I inspected the rotors they were pitted on the back. I ordered a new set from Ford.

That had nothing to do with the dust shield. It had to do with the crap metal the rotors were made out of

Yup I guess I'll just leave them off. Since where I live I'll never get a clean set any way.
