Clutch fork bail wire clip

Clutch fork bail wire clip
How on earth does the bail wire clip attach the fork to the bellhousing? Try as I may I just can't figure it out. I've searched the web and all I get are comments like: "it should be obvious" and "just keep trying" which don't help at all. It's been 10 years since I last had this transmission out so I don't remember the trick to installing the clutch fork.

I'm adding a few more photos and simple instructions for the next poor soul who gets lost attempting to repair his/her clutch fork.
You will notice the bail wire clip is not symmetrical, so don't try to bend it back into shape, it's meant to be this way.
To install the clip you place the fork into the bell-housing on the pivot. slide the fork forward past the pivot and insert the small end of the bail wire clip into the top hole of the fork first, then the larger end should fit into the lower end. The clip does not go around the pivot, but rather it pushes against it as seen in the photo. The clip is meant to hook onto the small tab on the lower part of the pivot.
Hopefully this helps someone, but mostly likely it'll be me searching back to find this in a year's time because I'll have forgotten how to do it.
If anyone wants to correct or add to my simple instructions please feel free to do so as you won't hurt my feelings and I'd like this to be as accurate as possible for the next guy...which will probably be me...
