Black on black for the win!

 

I only have 3600 miles on it so far but my mileage is:
Best tank 18.2 MPG
Worst Tank 9.7 MPG (Towing 8000lb Trailer)

I can squeeze out 20 mpg if I leave the display on the instant mileage screen.

But that was driving me crazy so I leave the screen on the off road or Tranny Temp.

I bought the truck for towing not for mileage, but I am pleased with what I'm getting considering I have a 3.73 rear.

 

Jim - Thanks for the details. For your 18 MPG tank, what was the City/Highway mix there?

 

I live in Pensacola, Fl so there not much city driving here compared to a place like Atlanta. But the mix on that tank was about 50/50.

My mileage will vary from 14 to 18 depending on the way I drive. I find myself getting into the pedal more with the Ecoboost than I did with my 5.4.

Haha, I'll take that as validation that I'm looking for the right truck I'll probably build a 2013.

 

I did a lot or research before I built mine. I wanted it to be right the first time because I knew I would have it for many years.
