What year is the truck? Is it factory installed 4WD, or a Marmon-Herrington conversion?

1971 was the first year that Ford offered factory installed 4WD in F600's. Prior years were usually Marmon-Herrington conversions.

The 1973/79 Ford HEAVY Truck Parts Catalog is available on a CD from hipoparts.com / Text Section 30 ~ 1979 7.5M Front Driving Axle Parts List #30.11C / Illustration Section 30, Page 7 shows all the hub parts and etc.

Is this what you're asking for? If not, where is the washer located?

C4TZ-1195-B .. Hub Bearing Retainer Washer (located between the 2 wheel bearing adjustment nuts) / 3 5/16" O.D. x 2 1/4" I.D. x 1/16" thick / Obsolete ~ 80 available NOS from Ford Dealers/obsolete parts vendors.

Are you reading that there are 80 available, if the part he describes is the correct one?

Sometimes ND will list dealers or vendors who have the part. Green Sales is one that comes up from time to time--but I have no idea if they have the part.

Perhaps he will pass this way again, or you can just search out "obsolete Ford parts" suppliers and try your luck.

Here, instead of staring at the screen and drumming your fingers waiting for ND to come back*, scroll down here and see names and numbers for suppliers. No guarantee any of them has your part, but it will keep you off the streets for a while.

*which is what I would do....

As you can see...

Perhaps he will pass this way again.
I subscribe to every thread I post in, so always come back to take a look-see.
(sigh) Ed, it was I staring at the screen, drumming and refreshing, waiting for a response.

After I typed post 4, I waited around for over an hour for the OP to respond to it. I even sent him a P/M sayin' to look at post 4. OP's green light was lit, no response, I finally gave up and signed off.

80 of these washers are available NOS, but the OP has no city nor state location listed.

But from his truck pic (see post above), outer islands ferry comment, a whole lotta fir trees in the background, white license plate on the VW parked adjacent to the truck, it might be WA .. possibly the San Juan Islands.

I prefer to list the locations that have the obsolete part that are closest to the FTE members residencia...first.

If C4TZ-1195-B is correct (OP still hasn't confirmed), here are some of the sources:

DON AADSEN FORD in Ronan MT has 1 = 406-676-4415.

HARRY K. FORD-LINCOLN in Winner SD has 1 = 800-888-1419.

PARTS INTERNATIONAL in Farmers Branch TX has 6 = 888-727-0418.

CARPENTER NOS OBSOLETE PARTS in Concord NC has 12 = 800-476-9653.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 37 = 800-543-4959.

I'll be in the city of Vancouver BC 5/9, 5/10, leaving on the 11th on an AK cruise (my 4th, so I've seen it all before). So, if you wish, you can swing on by the hotel and we can chat and/or have a libation.

Post 4: Notice I typed the parts catalog reference for the illustration of the whole enchilada. Contact Green Sales, ask them to scan and email you a copy of this parts catalog pic. You can buy the C4TZ-1195-B washer(s) at the same time.
