Tubular side step story
Well, I have been making changes to my rig. Recently I added the sick new wheels and tires and then looked at it and figured the tubular side steps needed to be powder coated. Well, I took them off, removed the end caps, then to the step pads. Those puppies were a pain to remove. Pretty much had to destroy them to get them off. Dropped the steps off at the powder coaters today, had a guy ask me if I would sell him my truck....I think he was being nice. Then went to the Ford dealer to order the step pads. Except.......they don't sell them! I have to buy all new side steps. I said, bull ****....somebody has to make these and I can't help but think there is a bin full of these sitting in Detroit somewhere. Did some digging and found out that Dee-Zee makes them for Ford. They were awesome, all four pads, $38.50 Shipped!
