Wiring Question. Alternator

I have been working on routing wires for my truck to see if I can get it fired up soon and test out the mechanicals. I have a 1989 alternator (whole engine is being used) out of a Lincoln Towncar (low performance roller cam engine). These two diagrams sum up what I have but not sure about the white wire with the pink stripe. It looks to be grounded back to the alternator. Just want to make sure before I hook something up wrong.

I think there is an error on the diode/regulator diagram, see below. There can't be a wire connecting the BAT and GRD terminals.

I don't see a wht/pink wire?? I believe the wht/bk wire is used to trigger the regulator, basically it sees a voltage when the alternator starts spinning.

I still have the wiring attached. I kept part of the under hood harness when I pulled the engine out about 5 years ago. I wasn't really looking at the inside diagram of the alternator. All references I see say white wire with black stripe, but mine is white with pink stripe. Figured it was the same wire. Back to the shed to finish up under the dash and trim the alternator bracket.
