If you make the inserts and give me a grill shell I will gladly put it on my truck.

Using the larger lights, round or rectangle, *could* cause legal issues in some states. These lights are coded for use as a "stand alone" light, while the smaller ones are coded for use as a pair.

It would be interesting to see some custom inserts made to allow the rectangle headlights for 73-77 models. 76/77 would be easier than 73-75, but either style, done right, could look good.

That would be cool, I have always liked the 73 to 75 grill better than the 79 I have now. I,m thinking all we need is 4 grill inserts and 4 headlight buckets, and a grill shell. Then with a bit of cutting and fiberglassing it can happen. If I had those parts I,d be right on it. Love the look.

Maybe do it with 7" outers and 5.5" inners? The dual 7's is making me dizzy!

bowtie_schmowtie did something kinda sorta, well, not really similar on his rig: Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Bowtie_Schmowtie's Album: SHELBY-ization - Picture

I would be willing to give it a try if someone sends me 2 sets of grilles and 2 sets of headlights.

BUT... let's be realistic doods... the headlights need support, and adding an extra set of lights will require the bowls behind the lights, which then require some sort of support to attach to the truck. Plastic grille is not gonna do that...

Additionally, extra lights in the grille would usually be for high-beams, so the sealed beams needed would not be the same. Think 1970's Jag lights... Wiring would need some rework too.

Regardless of all that, it does look awesome, and I'd be willing to try fabricating it if someone has spare grilles and lights to send me.

Over in the bump section someone made a truck grill like this, but I think the lights were more inward. He used the standard lights and carefully cut the grill to size. Then used a PVC pipe neckdown as a housing to put into the grill. It looked really good!
