BERRY!!! TYLUS!!!.... where are you guys!! Gimme a bit to find them. They're probably outside under their Expys trying to find new ways of giving them the 6-Million-Dollar-Man treatment. You know... Better, Stronger,Faster!!....
Hard to tell if it's just double sided tape or there are clips. Look at the back of the grille, crawl underneath the truck with a light. If you see two tabs at the back of the grille where the emblem is, there is your answer.

When I replaced my chrome grille with a black one I needed to swap the original Ford badge as well. There are two plastic posts on the back of the badge and they are held in from behind the grille with (metal) push washers.
They are a pain in the butt and I ended snapping one of the tabs. I need a replacement badge cause I have severe cracking and bubbling on the plastic overcoat...but local "stealership" wanted $50 for one.
Just replaced mine. The original one did not have the adhesive tape. Pull the big upper shroud/cover and you can get your hand down in the area behind the emblem (barely). 2 8 mm nuts, remove them. I used a 1/4" ratchet and deep socket. You may need to pry the old emblem out - I used 2 putty knives but first put masking tape around the area to keep from messing the paint up. Install is the reverse.
