Looking for some help 7.3 powerstroke
Well Im at my wits end with this truck I've replaced the cps twice and sent my new chip back to see if I had bad tunes and they ended up being fine...on all settings except stock & smoke setting it seems fine or should I say better. I checked the psi on the hpop and thats fine. Only other thing I can think Of is the IDM but those are pricey.....so what I was wondering is if there is someone with a 1994.5-1997 PSD willing to let me swap theres out and put it on mine to see if that's the problem. I am located in warren Let me know guys I would greatly appreciate it.
My truck is a 1997 f250
Thanks,
Joe

I see your post over there.
I doubt IDM is your problem.
I'd susspect ICP or IPR problems first.
They are more easy to address.
You can Unplug the ICP and see if that changes anything.
Validating Boost numbers though a scanner is not a surefire way to find if the MAP sensor is working, if you unplug the map sensor, you'll still read boost settings, because the truck will start guessing.
Some trucks guess better than others.
My truck didn't run any better with a bad MAP and it Unplugged, but it stopped smoking the street out when I took off.
ICP is next to fuel bowl on rail, I'd try unplugging that and seeing how it runs.
You can order them from Riffraff diesel if you need a new one, as well as an IPR.
If there is oil in the the ICP sensor plug, its most likely bad.
If your getting bad ICP numbers, you wont be fueling properly.
Same thing if your IPR isn't working right and sticking.
Some questions I seen the guys miss were, how new is your oil?
Have you done any mods besides the chip?
Who's tunes?

I'm pretty sure a have a extra IDM, or I can test yours on a good truck.
Shake yours and listen to see if you hear water in it, if you do its junk.
I'm in South Lyon so I'm not that far. PM me if you are interested.
