Does anyone have the part number for a turn signal switch for a 69 F-100?
and any idea where I might be able to find one?

Thanks,
Jerry

You'll have to know your build number because there is a production split. Check your warranty plate... Before serial G30001 uses C9TZ-13341-C.

After serial G30001 uses D0TZ-13341-B.

Visit www.dennis-carpenter.com for repro and NOS parts... $30 fpr either PN.

I am fairly certain that the original wiring is set up on my truck.....what is the difference between these 2 parts?

Fomoco screwed(altered/changed) with the wiring diagram, color code and what each wire does through the production year. If you get the wrong one, usually something won't light up correctly.

The PO of my 70 bought the correct switch and provided it when I bought the rig. Problem was the colors still didn't match up. I had to translate the wire colors and simply install them in the correct position on the TSS's connector. No biggee... I made sure I kept a record of old and new as to not ferget what went where. Works perfectly.

Here was my translation:

Peeps replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they did not install the original Warranty Plate on the replaced door!

Whwn this occurres, the VIN and codes stamped on the Warranty Plate will no longer match the vehicle.

Compare/check... whatever.

Your redundancy is confounding. Simply to punctuate your supposed correctness. Tiresome Billy Boy.

Btw, the PN is obsolete as OEM - not obsolete as reproduction. Why don't ya tell Dennis Carpenter that using Ford PNs is technically incorrect because it implies that it is an NOS part.

It's not a serial number.. it is a CONSECUTIVE UNIT NUMBER.

Uh huh, yeah right. You haven't a clue inre to what Ford parts catalogs state.
1964/72 FORD TRUCK PARTS CATALOG / GENERAL INFORMATION SECTION / Pages 37-39.

Get a copy of this catalog and look what it says on these pages inre to the Numerical Sequence of Assembly aka SERIAL NUMBER.

I've decoded over 800 VIN's for FTE members. The serial number is the last 5 digits 1948/60, last 6 digits 1961 thru today.

There are 10's of 1000's of part number listings in this catalog before/from certain serial numbers.

C9TZ-13341-C is AVAILABLE from Ford / Type the part number into either of FTE's Ford Dealer Parts Department sponsors websites.

MSRP: $61.98 / TousleyFordParts.com price: $40.91. // PartsGuyEd.com (Horizon Ford in Tukwila WA) price: $44.63.

If the part was obsolete, this would be listed: NO PARTS FOUND

Ten or so years ago, FoMoCo's corporate attorneys notified all the repro parts sellers, obsolete Ford dealers that they would have to pay a yearly license fee to use Ford, Ford Motor Company, FoMoCo, Edsel, Lincoln, Mercury, Fordson in their business names. To use Ford/Edsel/Lincoln/Mercury part numbers in their catalogs.

Most did not want to pay the fee, but Carpenter did. Carpenter's catalogs for the most part, follow the same part number sequence as Ford parts catalogs.

Since the genuine Ford switch is more expensive than Carpenter's price, Carpenter is selling a reproduction switch...since dealer net cost is $38.20.

Ridiculous, just ridiculous. Don't you think I would know what's correct since I was a Ford partsman for 35 years? You have ZERO Ford parts experience, so it's obvious you haven't a friggen clue.

And I listed ALL the applications for these two turn signal switches so members would be aware. How many applications did you list?

sic is latin, translates to thus in english / It is not supposed to be capitalized, Mr. spelling expert and you know what they say: People that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

You could spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week here on FTE just correcting spelling errors and typos. Read thru my 39,600 + other posts, see how many typos/spelling errors you can find. Lotsa luck, because there will be very few.

And btw, occurred is spelled correctly. Get a dictionary, Mr. spelling expert and look it up.

We don't know what else was done previously. There will be a sticker on the wiring. Post here or PM me with that engineering number and I'll cross it over to the correct number we know will now fit that column.
