Got a pleasant surprise yesterday
While in Dawson Creek BC, I had stopped to take pics of the mile 0 marker of the AK highway. A lady stopped and introduced herself as the tourism director for the city and asked if she could take a pic of me and my rig. After pics and a short interview, she told me she would send me a copy if it made it to the newspaper or tourism brochure.
When I got home yesterday, there was a package on the steps. Inside was a Dawson Creek cap, hat pin and an article from the newspaper. My ugly mug made the news!

Can't be that ugly, it didn't break the camera! That's cool, a nice bonus story to a fantastic trip. Glad you made it back safe.

Cool! I guess it's not every day that they have a 56 year old truck pulling a camper pass through town.

Jeff, thats awsome! Sounds like they know a good story when they see one. Was it the Dawson Creek Daily? Maybe we could find it online if we knew the date.

That's the paper. I have looked and can find no way to access their archives, maybe you'll have better luck. The date was June 27th.
