429 BB price question
hey guys just wondering if you guys could give me a ball park idea on what my motors worth, thinking about parting my tuck and was wondering what i could get for it(sad sad day)-
1970 ford 429 big block
-d0ve block
-Keith Black hypertechtic pistons
-comp cam 260
-double roller timing chain
-comp springs and retainers
-D0VE heads with a port clean up and good valve job
-magnum rockers
-stock crank and rods with arp bolts
-balanced
-edlebrock performer intake
-770 holley truck avenger
-ford racing 9mm wires
-msd 6al plus ignition
-msd off road coil
-ford racing tall vavle covers
saginaw ps pump/brackets from a old ford van.

You never get anywhere near out of them what you put into them & shipping kills any deal so your limited to a local sale. Not being a 460 will hurt the price. People usually are leary of buying someones rebuilt engine. Hearing it run will help but it depends on your area. In my area not much, around $500.

The shame of it is your motor will sell for less than a "remanufactured" stock 460 from one of the big name parts stores , even though yours has twice the power .
