tailgate

will an 89 tailgate fit on my 93? and do they look the same? i saw a post on craigslist for a new tailgate that was only used for 4 months before the motor blew the lady wants 100 bucks for it and it comes with another one for parts...so will it look and fit the same on my 93

It should but double check the location of the striker bolts before you commit to buying it. They moved at some point during the production run and I honestly can never remember exactly WHEN that was.

I wish in 78 they did the striker bolt with the torx head. One of my phillips head screws is stripped pretty good so i wasn't willing to tighten it cause i didn't want to risk having to drill it out

Even if it requires some modding, $100 is an OK price for the tailgate, I say get it.
