V10 Carnage.

I bought a longblock from a guy south of me. I paid 150 bucks for it and he said it failed but not sure what failed. From his description I thought it was the oil pump and I turned out to be correct. I was hoping that the crank would still be good but it was driven too long with little to zero oil pressure.

Only the block is still good but that's all I wanted anyways.

Crank rod journals.

A few bearings

At the end of the day I got what I wanted.

I dunno bro, with a little elbow grease and a dremel, that's buff up really nicely I bet! Then grab a rotozip and clearance that oil passageway.

X2. An oil pressure gauge is one of the things on my list. I have others things that need done but after seeing this I think it moved up in priority.

I will also be looking at a better oil pump. I have one in mind but need to test to see if it will work.

I've never seen one in person, but my gawd that crank looks spindly! Also, I'd sure like to know the conditions behind that dead motor like miles, maintenance, etc.

I will try to call the previous owner and see what he says.

It came out of a fleet truck so I'd assume it was well maintained.
