I was refueling my work vehicle today at my employers pumps and noticed the diesel pumps have a water filter at the base of the hose. Has anyone noticed these water filters at retail pumps?
Asked the folks at the company shop who maintain many diesels including Ford diesels, they related no fuel related problems.

 

That filter is probably integrated in the line somewhere, just not exposed at the pump where we'd see it. I can't see them not having any fuel/water separation between the storage tank and your vehicle tank...
