MY 1950 F-6 COE TRACTOR

I had my tractor out the other day, so I thought I would share a picture. Actually, I wanted to try out my new logo on it, so this picture is Photoshopped a little! After I updated the logo, I figured I might as well hook it to my trailer (which is across town at a friend's house, who has a bigger yard than I do). Then, I just had to logo that too!
So, darksiders take notice. This is what you are supposed to do with a COE! It's on a stock chassis, and it's flathead powered!

I didn't have time to drive across town to get a shot of the truck with the trailer on it, so I improvised! Luckily, I had taken a picture of the trailer when we picked it up a couple years ago.

Looks great, Chuck! Is it a big flatty or a 239? Good to see a stocker in such nice shape!

Thanks!
Unfortunately, the 337 engine wasn't available in the small trucks. Putting one in there would take as much modification as putting in a big block, so that isn't happening. I did build one of my killer flatheads for it, though. It's stroked and bored, and has a custom cam designed for the application.

Outstanding, Chuck. Stock as a stone, with original patina. I like it. Big change from when I saw it on my first visit! Stu

That was actually another COE that got tabled. I had just completed the frame repairs when this one showed up on Ebay. It was almost completely rust free, has it's original paint in and out, and was a real road tractor. It had sat out in the Kansas weather since the late 1960's when it was parked. Actually, it could have been longer. That's when the guy I bought it from bought it. He wouldn't give much information beyond that, probably because he was pissed that I was the only bidder on a no reserve auction for $1000.00! He was an older guy, and didn't know anything about the internet, so he paid a kid to list it for him. The kid listed it as a hubcap, to save on the listing fee, and nobody saw it. I was so worried that I wouldn't get it, that I offered the guy $3500.00 to stop the auction. He turned me down because he wanted at least $5000.00! How did he make out? When the auction ended, I was told that I couldn't have it. After several nasty phone calls, and a threatened law suit, I got it!
It did need a lot of work. There was no glass in it, and the cab was full of junk, cemented in place by that fine dirt that apparently blows all over the place out there. It was about 8" deep, and packed in tight. It kept everything dry, though, because the cab corners are perfect.
I rebuilt every moving part on the chassis, so it now runs and drives like new. I added a 2 speed Watson brownie box, and a period correct air over hydraulic brake system while I was at it. (It was set up for a vacuum brake trailer).

Just a little roof chop, transplant the body on a newer Chevy frame, drop in a Chevy motor and that COE will look beautiful!

Just kidding!!!!!

Great looking combo!
