2006 EXPY EB -WATER PUMP JOB - LOTS OF PICS
This post is more informational post, you folks probably have done this job inumerous times. At 110K miles, I did the transmission fluid and filter, front and rear differentials, transfer case, spark plugs, now is time for spring cooling system job.
I did replace the water pump, all pulleys, belt and tensioner. not too bad of a job. The radiator does not need to be removed.
Make sure you rent that fan clutch holding tool from your autoparts store.
First of , here are the torque specs for all bolts.
For those with engines from 2003 Expy and Navis, below are the torque specs as well, they are pretty much the same
Below is a shot of the engine without already the fan, and the fan shroud. I have replaced my thermostat 5 K miles ago, so there is no need to do it again. But if you have not done it yet, now is time to do it , also flush the cooling system.
Picture below shows the water pump already removed. To remove the pulley from the water pump, remove the bolts, spray a little WD40 on the pump shaft, wiggle the pulley by hands, no need for tools or any force to remove it.
New water pump, tensioner and rollers/pulleys already in place...
New Goodyear Gatorback installed, take a closer look at pulley for the water pump, the one I mentioned above that you need to wiggle it by hands.
Old parts ...
More old parts...
And more old parts

Yes, this procedure does apply to the 2004 and to the 4.6 engine as well.
The torque specs might be different , but as far as the pictures and looks of the engine and all parts, it is all the same.
FYI : I had to edit my post the first picture showing the torque specs was not showing for some reason...
I also added a picture showing the torque specs for your engine. Engines from 2003 up, Expys and Navis.
