Chet I had hoped to have had a pcm flashed by now but I just haven't had the cash yet. And thanks to FrankO I now have a spare pcm that I can send in when I get some $$$. No down time.

Ed, send that sucker in. You won't believe the difference. I have the 1.0 exhaust housing also on by updated system. The tunes make all the difference. 60E is what I use all the time around town. 80E on the freeway. You can diffenately tell the difference betwwen stock and 60e for the surge. Being you have two PCM's now, I would do it in a flash. Money well spent.

Thanks Chet I wish I didn't have money issues or I would have done it by now. But get this I just got an email today from Thoroughbred Diesel with the TS 6 position on sale for $200 and it is going to cost about $125 to reflash the pcm.
TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip - 7.3L Powerstroke

So that makes me really wish I had some cash to spend on Blackie. I'll try kissing up to the wife but honestly I think she is done giving me money for Blackie after the trans.

Well I tried kissing up to the wife and that didn't work. The sale is over on the TS so I missed out there. I won't pay the non sale price for their can tunes. Because as I have talked to some of you guys the problem I am going to run into is since I built my Kuzz4R100. I used a trans combo BW clutchs, Sonnax valves, Sonax modded pump, stock valve body modded and 3 disc billet t.c. and I am very happy with the shift points, t.c. lock up the way it is. Most guys need tunes to adjust the trans but I did it all with hard parts and Sonnax valves.

So I am going to move forward on getting Jody/ DP to write me tunes with just injection timing, and fueling pulse width adjusted and hopefully he can do so with stock trans tunes. So I can get a pcm reflashed. Because if I go with someones tunes that mess with the tranny I KNOW I won't be happy.

Now back to the Turbo Master w.g. actuator. mind you I still don't have a boost gauge so I am going my the seat of my pants and listening to the engine. Not good I know but it is what it is. Well a couple weeks ago I towed a guys 30ft TT 8500lbs-9000lbs about 250 miles. And I found under heavy load the T.M. was at 2400rpm it was opening. Which with no load it was not a problem. So I pulled into rest area tightened 1 full turn on the T.M. w.g. actuator and I was good to go to about 2600-2700rpm with was only a problem a couple times passing on small grade. I was pulling it about 70-75mph and getting 9.4mpg on computer and 10.0mpg by hand calculations.

BUT now with no load I am dealling with surge every now and then. I am getting 18.0 mpg by hand on highway and 15.4-15.6mpg mixed driving. I guess I could just readjust the T.M. and back it up a turn to get rid of the surge but I actually like it where it is at minus the surge. So before I try to do any more adjusting I need to get my pcm reflashed and get a boost and egt gauges. I stole the trans gauge out of my motorhome already for the truck.
