Whenever you start a thread with "I hate to bring it up", that should be your sign. Over the past few months there have been 1 or 2 threads on HPFP......maybe 3. I wouldn't know as I cut down coming to the forum. I believe there is a thread dedicated to the HPFP, why keep beating a dead horse in multiple threads. The forum just is not the same. It's too bad.

They don't fail up there, haven't you heard?

And yea, I read one of the threads for the first time last Sunday. Drove me nuts.

The 6.4 forum lit up early on with radiators and blown EGR systems in 2008. It has settled down a lot the past couple years. I don't think anybody has any big problems anymore over there.

Oh well, carry on..........

Just talked to my service advisor at my local dealer he said the 6.7 are just comin for service minus some flashes and one water pump(which was mine). But they did have a 6.4 in there with a blown hpfp that ford denied the warranty due to water and this is a fleet truck for a towing company.

I still love this forum and come here regularly, I usually avoid these threads, but obviously not this time. I think the op is trying to make a point of not much recent activity (I think).

Either way, nothing to see here, move along.............

All HPFP's have been contacted and advised that failure is not an option! Should a Ford 6.7 HPFP fail it will be the subject of much ridicule and embarrassment in a forum on the WWW and compared to tiny little HPFP's found on VW 's. And oh yes I almost forgot .... Rick is running around the country threatening to hammer the chit out of any that don't understand that failure is NOT an option.

After reading that story, I started to add additives, from Ford. I know, it may not mean much but I am putting one more thing on 'my' side. The additive is not that expensive and... well... I only have 6500km after 6.5 months... Come summer, I will be towing a small fifth wheel/boat.

Shane, I'm sorry to be derailing your thread. It's nice that we have not seen new problems recently.

I do have to say that I have been using additive more often than I did before December. But really, I have 91,500 on my truck in less than 2 years. I love it.

Beating a dead horse..I think not....

Just wanted to get the pulse of the 6.7.

I'm not scared.

I just want knowledge.

Now, you know who you are,..go put your head back in the hole!

OT: I think it's a cartoon of Michael Bolton in the movie "Office Space" when they take out the printer and beat it to pieces.
