radiator (Needed for my 48 F1) Any aftermarket work
Guys, Today I pulled my waterpump, and a few othere small things I wanted to look over, Anyways I pulled the radiator, I'll just say Im going to need a new one, This one looks like its been to hell and back.. Anyways I seen in LMC and MAC, there around $300 :-(, I wanted to know if there are any radiators from newer trucks could use or like I could get from a junk yard or scarp pile ?.. Or anyone have one I could pay payments on ??..
Let me know what you guys know ;-)
My truck has a flathead 6.....

Just a thought, but call around to local radiator shops. Most have quit doing real radiator work & only want to sell new ones. Some of the old timers will actually re-core a radiator for you. It'd be worth a couple of calls if your current price point is $300.
There is another alternative in the $350 price range....Superior radiator is somewhere in Michigan...they make aluminum aftermarket radiators that fit into the stock radiator mount....and they'll put the inlet and outlets exactly where you want them and in whatever size you specify. It would look like this....you could paint it black if you wanted:

Age62newbie, I would advise you move on those radiators if you need one. They've dropped the price to 50 bucks. Cody logged onto FTE last night, but did not comment on that ad that Fortyniner found for him. He must have found something else. IF they're functional at all, they're worth 50 bucks. That is as good as I imagine it gets for 2 correct functional radiators, and probably close to what one would pay for an off-brand radiator from a boneyard, especially after one goes through the effort of trying to make it fit.

They found you a radiator! did you read the last few posts? those are a good price. besides even if they turn out to be junk your still ahead. since copper was near $2 a lb. Last time i checked. that means those radiators are worth at least around $70 if not more?
they have probably been sold by now.

Cody, first thing is to confirm if they are V8 or 6? That would be the only potential problem, aside from condition. A radiator shop could swap your old tank to the "new" radiator if needed, or close up one of the inlets/outlets.
I agree with above, you can't go wrong at that price!
Edit: I emailed the guy, these are 6 cyl radiators! In his words, "These are single inlet/ outlet. Perfect for the SBC. "
