So what did you do to your 6.0L today?
Today is The Monster's Birthday!
It rolled off the assembly line today back in 2005 and now has 220,800 miles.
As a planned, but late birthday present due to time it gets:
-V/B code springs with less than 20K on them
-New Rancho 9000's all the way around (Bilstein and 4 wheel parts pissed me off)
-Dual Stabs (haven't figured out which ones yet)
-New brakes front and rear
-Lube tie rods, ball joints, and wheel bearings.
-Trans flush
-Front and rear diff flush

Got my Riffraff stuff in today!
Knocked out all 4 rubber boots, and a new metal CAC tube to replace the plastic one. Used the hairspray method and ran her under 27lb boost, they stayed snug.
Also got my sinister coolant filter installed and all fuel filters replaced with Motorcraft. The fuel filters were BLACK... that's what I get for buying used.
Went ahead and added valves for my airlift in the back, compressor is shot and I didn't want to buy a new one yet. They're holding perfect with this method, I just roll up to any fuel station and fill them as needed.

What is that tube coming off the cold side cac elbow that turns down into the intake?

You bought used filters? And that oil filter cap.... aftermarket along with the filter... good luck with that! The CAC boots look great!

I did u joints on the Ex today. What a nightmare. Some bonehead screwed the slip joint end where the clip goes to hold the cap in.Thank god I did it at my friends shop. We welded it up and machined it................We need to get permits for people to buy tools, some people just aren't meant to work on vehicles.
Glad you were able to salvage it and get it back on the road. It's that much more rewarding.
I actually just got the ford cap a few days ago along with the Motorcraft filter, Oil change is coming this weekend. That cap is hideous, right!? Lol
