I did start another thread on the coolant hose/fitting failures -- you could always weigh in over there. I was hoping a thread more focused would catch more folks attention. I know that soooooo much stuff happens in this thread, that I myself often don't read it...

^If he has more than one on its way out, I think it might make a difference which injectors are the problem in comparison to firing order to determine how bad/if at all the shake is.

It more so matters how it's failing, electronically (coils) or mechanically (a pintle not sealing causing combustion to enter fuel rail). The latter will slowly kill other near by cylinders by starving them of fuel possibly killing the whole bank.

Back from the shop and #2 is the guilty party.

It runs good enough city speeds 45-55 mph to not cause a miss. However, when I get to higher speeds like 60-75 mph it's enough to shake the truck and everything in it.

It's getting replaced tonight...

I went under the front end to make sure the new center link matched up. While under there I decided the other tie rod ends did not look so great. Just ordered 3 more tie rods. Everything between the pitman arm and knuckles is getting replaced.

they just stated mine were DOA when they went to test.. sometimes the truck ran smooth.. other times it struggled to get up to speed like the timing was slightly off.. 5, 7 & 8 were my problems..

Injector #2 was replaced yesterday evening and I got it started around 1:00 am. The job would've gone much faster with and air ratchet that worked.

The truck runs better now, all that's left is figuring out why the left front wheel vibrates at higher speeds....

my guesses.. Out of balance tire, bad wheel bearing, bad axle shaft ujoint (mine had a small vibration from that but when locked in would jerk the wheel hard in minor turns).. didnt think to ask if you had pneumatic hubs or manual.. if pneumatic could be the one sides stuck.. course same can happen on the manuals too if was used recently and theyve dried out.

straight ones on the left...

straight ones on bottom...

ive had techs tell me over and over again how the 6.0 TTY bolts "dont stretch" that theyre just "springy".. they may not stretch but they certainly bend... i knew a couple were bent.. figured id check to see how much they bent

They need to go back to school if they are telling you that they don't stretch. You may not be able to see the changes to
the grains of the metal but it's there. The bolt has gone throw internal changes to the metal. You should hand them
a metallurgy book and tell them to read. Bet you will get the deer in the headlights look from them.

Today my fun has been rear brakes. I'll tell you about after I go pick up the last rotor
from the machine shop. Damm the price has gone up on having then resurfaced.

Ask them what The "Y" in TTY means. The bolts give when properly torqued and do not predictably return to their starting point (length) when loosed. That why the are one time use. Even if you could accurately measure the legnth and you found a few that returned to their previous dimension after the first use, they would yield more (or more accurately-sooner) on the second use.

Nice catch on the bowed bolt
