So what did you do to your 6.0L today?

-Upper radiator hose
-Lower radiator hose
I learned a hard lesson back in september 2013 by not replacing the hoses after a flush. I drove to HEB labor day weekend to pick up some meat to cook. I get back to my truck and find a very expensive puddle of coolant under my truck. The guy who parked two cars down said: "I was just leaving my truck and as soon as you got to the doors, that bottom hose exploded."
So needless to say, I'm not going to make the same mistake twice....
I also did a few other maintenance items while the truck wasn't going anywhere:
-Drained the trans pan and added 9 quarts (2008 trans pan and filter)
-Changed the oil with Delo 5w40 and AR9100
-Replaced front brakes (was too far in NOT to do it)
It definetly was!
Wife was a little irritated but understanding that I was working on the truck all day saturday. She understands that if my truck is running good, I'm happy.
The only things that are left:
-New/Rebuilt 155cc injectors (I still have 4 out of the 8 originial, PO killed them with a bad fuel pump and no blue fuel spring)
-Modded Turbo to support 155cc injectors.

im having to do that anyways... the manifold side of the line was so rusted it was literally frozen adapter.. same with the adapter to the head.. couldnt break them apart.. least not nicely..
my ypipe and delete pipe came with new bolts for them so all happy there.. was just the head i didnt have any.. i was hoping to get away with just reusing the manifold bolts for a short while anyways as i need to replace the manifolds once i get my funds built back up.. nature hasnt been too nice to them.

i had to take the tube and adapter off together to get it off the manifold.. fished the box end of the wrench down the tube till i got to the manifold and had to use a hammer to break it loose after heating it several times... even then it still resisted.. was having to hammer it all the way off.. after that i stuck the tube in the vice and tried going after the adapter with my impact.. it just laughed at it.. ended up using the hammer and wrench again there. but took my larger mini-sledge hammer to do it instead of the 12oz hammer i was using to get it off the manifold. they were really frozen together..

I usually come up with a good excuse and leave work so I can get the package off the door step and just "work from home" the rest of the day
