Front brake pads, cleaned the rims and wheels. Flushed the coolant and changed the t-stat.

not really, i was expecting to have a firm shift finally but i put my SRL+ back in, which always very slightly flared/slow shifted 3-5, and went for a drive and it pretty much exactly the same

Took mine on a drive to play in the snow.
I turned my ESOF to 4x4 and about 5 seconds later my cabin air redirects to defrost.
At least we have the manual locks for 4wd. They held up well for almost 10 years with no problems, so now I need to find my vacuum leak.

I had that happen once. Then right after it starting working correctly.
Was cold out and the first run in snow in some time. I need to get out
and run it again. Don't need stuck hubs when I need them.

Got my new IH thermistat installed, looks exactly like the Motorcraft thermistat I bought last year., just in a different box, and cheaper. Hopefully it works better, it was only $22. Must have done it wrong, because it leaked. Took it all apart, cleaned the glue out of the groove on the new housing torqued to 17ft/lbs and that seems to be holding. Drove it a bit, but it doesn't look like it is making much of a difference, but have yet to really drive for an extended trip. Now I need to see if I can figure out if the sensor is just bad.

Happy New Year

Just went out to take a look at the hubs and I can't get it to replicate the problem. I guess it just needed some use.

Oh well, greased the axle universals and washed her all up.
