3.95-4.05 in my area. Sometimes I can find it for 3.85 at Kroger, but I do not know how high of volume the use. I have been warned against buying low volume diesel stations because of the potential for water in fuel.

Greased the Slip-Joints on both Drive-Shafts today.....

Have an awkward clunk in the front end at times, that I or 2 shop's have not been able to find
Sounds like it comes from under the Passenger Floor-Board. I've ruled out Body-Mounts (new Neoprene one's), Shocks (new 9000's), F.Axle Slip-Joint (moves easily) & the Ball-Joints, Tie-Rod Ends, Sway-Bar Bushings, Radius-Arm's all seem tight to me as well as 2 different shop's.
What are we missing

* I believe my RH oem Lock-Out is junk because if I grab the Axle-Shaft just behind the Hub it moves around quit a bit.
Could this make a Clunk sound

Found the "new" oil cooler screen was plugged. I also can see some black stuff in the coolant lines inside the oil cooler.

The heater hose is just fine.

Oil is definitely coming from the back of the head gaskets.

Are you sure it's not the glow plug harness leaking? Mines plastered with oil in that area

Installed my FICMrepair.com repaired FICM...

Had to flip the thing over to check the date on it just to make sure it was mine. It even looked like a brand new FICM! Thanks FICMrepair

Yes...now that the oil cooler is out of the way I can see where it appears that oil is seeping between the head and the block on the top side...and I found this in the "new" oil screen.

It appears to be turnings from inside the new oil cooler? I'm going to call Sinister and talk with them about it.

I'm pretty sure that I've gotten the raw end of the deal from the shop that worked on my Monster, because the "new" oil cooler seals are cracked and coming apart already...

The thing about the oil pushing out between the head and the block is that there aren't any pressurized oil passages in the heads to push oil out. If it was coolant you'd also be puking antifreeze out the degas bottle cap because of serious system pressure. I suspect your oil cooler gasket is the problem.

How long has the motor been together and running? That stuff almost looks like blasting media. Is ti gritty when you rub it between your fingers?

It has 188k miles on it and I've only put less than 200 miles on it after the oil cooler was replaced. Nope not gritty. It's some kind of metal turnings. I'm ruling out metal shavings because it looks and feels like steel wool, which is why I'm guessing that it may be left from when the oil cooler was made. I'm going to flush the cooler it's self tonight and see if I find anymore of it in the cooler.

While it's apart I'm going to replace the HG and stud the heads. I have no desire to have to tear it this far down again anytime soon.

Anyone have a set of 155 injectors they want to DONATE to my cause?
