Got mine back from the mechanic today. EGR delete, new radiator and oil cooler. Then it pulled my little 5th wheel home, 180 miles. Fought a headwind all the way home. It is good to have it back.

Took mine in to get a leaking egr cooler taken care of. With that, I'm getting the oil cooler replaced. Decided to go ahead and do studs too.

Sure it's the valve cover and not the glow plugs. They look like that sometimes.

yep... i can see where its walking down around the edges of the upper gasket from the top side in the back.. it follows it around the back side of the engine till it gets to the lower bolt the FICM is attached to then drips down onto the manifold... i have a feeling im going to have to pull all those studs and replace them with normal bolts to crank it down tighter......

Have you checked the cover to make sure that it's not been deformed
do to all the cranking down that has been done to it?
It may have lost some of the spacers that keep it from being over clamped
onto the gasket.

checked that when i had the heads out...straight edge laid flat all the way around... stock studs have a crimped on "stand" as ill call it that as soon as they hit the rocker box you cant tighten them any further without snapping the stud off.. all the little rubber bumper bushing things were replaced at the same time with the gaskets... getting tired of these cushy studs causing me issues there... was having the same issue before the head gasket job.. but at that time i thought it had been from where the glow plug harness went through the rocker box...

Mine just reminded me that I owed her some cleaning on the inside from last weekend camping trip my dog rode in cab and hair was everywhere.

Not to mention I neglected to clean the old puke from my daughter who barfed coming down from Big Bear Mt. Last year lol.

Along with a few more stains on the rug she is good as new now

Solved a problem I've been having where people know when I'm coming or going....with a muffler.

The truck is reasonably quiet even with the Powermax Exhaust side and muffler.

I found a muffler on letgo that will be just slightly louder and give me the bark I need without too much of the whistle.

I moved it from the front driveway to the side driveway. Then I moved it back to the front and plugged in the Battery Tender.

Talk about exciting.
