Some more progress today, I will post some pics and possibly a video tomorrow.
Greg and I got the windshield in, came from Rockauto, $125, not bad at all.
We also got the top down to get it ready for paint.
Get the fuel pump wired, finished the TBI wiring, fuel filler hoses and radiator hoses are in. I will fill all the fluids tomorrow morning, prime the oil pump and fire it up!

Short video of the 2nd start up. I had to track a spark problem, turned out to be the coil harness. Luckily I had a spare but it took me about 2 hours to narrow it down to that.
Didn't run it too long, it is real loud and there were neighbors outside.

I searched and could only find how to embed youtube videos so I will just have to link these I suppose.
Anyhow, I tuned and remapped the TBI a bit and got her running pretty well, much better than earlier today.

Well it's official, this engine is trash
Not sure when it happened, doesn't really matter I suppose. There is no metal in the oil I just drained so I think it was prior to my purchase.
I didn't pull the caps before I put the engine in (like I should have) I took the word of the PO.
The engine was definitely rebuilt but it looks like they used a cheap kit, the journals don't even have grooves.
The journals look pretty good, not fitted well but not trash.
The rod bearings are another story, the #7 rod is complete garbage. #8 and #4 showed some wear but I didn't even waste my time pulling any more after #7.
I will be going with the TMeyer's balanced rotating assembly. There is a kit he put together with the most popular cam, lifters, timing set, etc. This will delay the completion of the Bronco by a month or 2 at least...
