Great...Now I have competition for finding a set....
I know dad added these to his F250 shortly after he bought his truck in 74. He had a good friend who worked at a big truck garage and I can only assume these were given to him along with the hood scoop that he added as well..These are pitted pretty good but I am planning on bring his truck back to life as a driver. Just wanted to keep the theme he had going. I am also on the hunt for some of the vent window wing deflectors as well as the chrome visors that he had on the doors. He also had a swan like bird on the hood I'd like to put back on if one can be located..

My Dad owned a 1988 F-SuperDuty, the VIN was F41, if that follows the pattern of the trucks of that Era, it was a F-450, in all but name. It had 10 lugs and an emergency brake that was the old drum on the back of the transmission type.

See below.

Anyone know if the part number on the back of mine is correct?
Not even close, these are not Ford part, ID nor casting numbers.

There are no Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just ID engineering or casting numbers...when applicable..

5630 & 5631 are the outside manufacturers mold numbers.

1963/69 F/N/NT850/1000

C3TZ-16720-A .. "Super" Nameplate / Obsolete

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
-----------------------------------------------
C3TZ-16720-B .. "Duty" Nameplate / Obsolete

NORTZ & VIRKLER FORD in Lowville NY has ONE = 315-376-6594.

No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.

Did some looking today and on the back of the emblem was of all things,a Ford Part number. The one on the Super was C4TB-16720-B Duty appears to be C4??-16720-?
After doing some research,It looks like they could be 1964F850 or thereabouts models. They are in ok shape, but have pitting. Not sure they will clean up enough to be nice. Funny thing is everybody keeps thinking and saying Super Duty was never a truck till 99..Guess us old timers will have to teach them there was some way back in the late 50's through 60's...I see allot of these emblems on fire trucks and such. Maybe I'll stumble across a place in the south or southwest that have some in a junkyard. If not, I'll try to save these..Keep me in mind please...

C4TB-16720-B is an ID engineering number, not a part number. C4??-16720-? = C4TB-16720-C is also an ID engineering number.

After doing some research, It looks like they could be 1964 F850
I already did the research, see post 8 for the applications, the Ford part numbers, the whole ball of wax. and...

Notice that I said there are NO Ford part numbers marked on parts after 1956 = NONE!

Super Duty Emblems in my possession for now...

I realize that I am replying to a post that is almost a year old...but I thought it might be beneficial to someone. Those numbers cast in the back of these emblems are identical to mine...the "Super" has 5430 and then separate from that is C4TB-16720-B. The "Duty" has 5431 and then separate from that is C4TB-16720-C. Bill indicated that those may be from a 1964 F850 and as I recall that is exactly the year and model my dump truck was. I am not aware of any reproducer but I am entertaining the idea of selling mine. I also have the chrome hood scoop and the marker emblems, one with 850 on it, but am not allowed to post a classified ad. I am thinking of running them thru an online auction...any thoughts?

I am not saying you are wrong, but...

When I pulled the motor out of my '66, the two top rear "biscuit" mounts had the part number, stamped in them. I bought a set of NOS mounts and the 2 "biscuits" also had the part numbers stamped in them. The same exact numbers that you sent me in a PM.

CARPENTER has 2.

I need your '66 F250's serial number (last 6 numbers of the VIN) for the front insulators.
Were they used in '56 and the molds were just never changed?
