Ya man its happened to me on some long write-ups Ive done. MOST frustrating. Luckily now the forum stores picture files.

Has your dash upgrade really been ongoing since 2013 or are you completely done?

If you don't have time to DIY, I saw that their is a guy in Florida that can do the build. But he has not completed the steering colum, or the dash eather and I personally don't have 6K to drop, but if you do it looks kick ***.

yeah im only about $500, maybe $600 deep in the whole dash swap

in my honest opinion that dash in this video looks like crapppppp!! everything looks cheaply spray painted and its hacked up with all the old stuff

his 3 year long thread was definitely the biggest help on my dash swap, with his info that solved everything and all i had to do was figure out the gauges,

You're our inspiration bro.

I'm next! ...first I do the front end swap to 2013, then the dash.

No i really started last summer, i was gathering parts and asking questions starting in 14 then just decided to go for it. I had it 90% done then had brake lines go on the truck so i pulled the bed to make life easier then the bed supports fell off and i just decided to go for the full monte and do a cummins/allison swap. The dash really turned into a full truck resto, all I've got left is to move the fuse panel and to mount the old gauge cluster in the new lens.

I was also house hunting, wedding planning and traveling for work lol so the truck has been in pieces for a while. Moving in to my house Thursday though so i have my own garage not a storage area that takes an hour to clean before i work each time.

Zack still hasn't shown me how to do the gauges lol. I have a tone of wiring diagrams in my thread though, its a brute to read through but if the links are broken let me know i can send them to you. I'm all about this stuff and helping people do it I'm happy other people have used my thread to complete their own dashes. sucks that i have not been able to finish mine yet lol.

Zack is a busy lil beaver. After I do my front end, Im doing the dash too.

Why are you putting a cummins motor in your truck in lieu of a 7.3?

Mine is a 5.4l with a 4" lift and 35s... Has no power and I know gears can fix that but I have always wanted to make a fummins and I saw it as the perfect time. I got an excursion gas tank and an airdog while I had my bed off and threw that all in with new 08+ hangers and springs. I just like to tinker lol. Only reason it isn't in yet is I have been waiting to move for over a month so I didn't want to pull the 5.4 and have to move two motors at once.

I found a dash on Ebay mine cost be about $600 in parts but I've seen people get them form local junk yards for $200 with wiring and all. I just got the mechanical parts, i would suggest stalking craigslist and eBay to find it cheap i did for a while and at the time that was the best deal. I would do the same for door panels, unfortunately my local junkyards dont have anything newer than 04 when it comes to super dutys.

in 08 the colors changed gray is more of a tanish gray now ford calls it Stone and then there is the 08 tan color so either way if you want it to match you will need to paint the dash but the dark pieces match the old 99-07 dark gray interior pieces still.

You can do any year 08-16 however be aware that the center of the dash is different from 13-16 when they added the newer radio and A/C controls. Using a 13-16 dash you can still install an aftermarket radio however i dont know anything about moding up those A/C controls. The 08-12 dashes you can get 05-07 A/C controls and install them on a 99-04 truck and they will mount right up to the 08-12 dash trim you will just need to cover a small opening, what i did was cut a piece of acrylic and paint it. In my opinion search for an 08-12 dash as it will be easier to install, that being said the newer dash is definitely doable if you are up for it.

Duplicolor sells interior paint that matches the grey from 99-07 trucks FYI.

This is good info! 2012 is most recent I've ever been inside so I don't know if the difference in aesthetic appeal warrants the extra complexity....

So 2008-2012, preferably black.

Do the door panels for 2013 plus fit in the 7.3?

Yup all panels from 08-16 are identical only be aware that the controls changes from a green back light to blue in 13-16. rear doors and passenger door are plug and play the master switch on the drivers side needs to be repinned and i have the diagrams when you need them hey should be in my thread if not just PM me. If you plan to do the dash do not paint or modify the front panels as they will hit the 99-07 dash in the front corners and will rub the paint off. they fit fine once you swap the dash to 08+ though. They just slide on and you will need to drill two holes for screws to hold the panel in place. Also be ready to remove the handle cup thingy as it prevents the panels from sitting all the way down.

I'll subscribe to your thread for sure.

I need to hit the junk yards.

So your telling me any dash 2008-2011 is proven to fit.

Any door panels from 2008-2016 fit.
