E40D solenoid block install

I'm looking at swapping the solenoid block in my van with an e40d tranny. Is there anything tricky about this? Looking at the tranny breakdown it looks like all I have to do is drop the pan and filter and there it is.
Anybody else ever done this?

Thanks

Jay

It is easy. At least on the 4r100 you can drain the fluid without going for a swim. Just pull the pan and it you will see it. Should be 6 torx screws hoding it in. You might have to work it back and forth to get it out if it's stubbern. Be carefull pushing it through the hole where the harness connects. I always lube the seal where it goes through. It helps a little bit.
