Stamo on valvecovers

Hello,

is anybody here who known something 'bout the white numbers on the valvecovers on 460 cid? I think they are also on other engine displacement.

e.g 7300, 7203, 1275 and so on. Are this numbers serialnumbers?

They are made with white or yellow stamp ink.

Thanks a lot

Jens

if i am not mistaken they have to do with the production line workers. some are inspection marks and some are marks telling the production workers what options or accessories or even what vehicle they go into.
