code P2195 driving me nuts.
I'm new to this forum but have been reading some postings for about the last 2 weeks. So far, my problem has not been discussed. I have a problemwith my 2005 escape 4wd 3.0 v6.
About 2 months ago, I got code P2195....bank 1 sensor 1 oxygen sensor. A day or so later it went off. Stayued off for about a month and then came back. same code and only this code. Again it went off and then about 10 days ago, it came on and stayed on with the same P2195 code.
The car runs great. starts good and no hestitation or missing at any speed. If I sit and let it idle at a red light in "drive" still no problem.
if I sit and let it idle in "park" after a minuyte or so, I hear popping noises from the air intake. The idle speed will flucuate slightly, but car wil not stall. let it do this for maybe 5 minutes and the check engine light comes on.
The fuel filter has only 22,000 miles on it..so I doubt it is a fuel probelm.
I cleaned the Idle air control valve...cleaned the MAF sensor with MAF cleaner and checked with carb cleaner for any vacuum leaks. can;t find any.
I have not changed the oxygen sensor for B! S! because something else may be triggering the code.
Any suggestions? I'd appreciare any ideas other than "buy a new car" since no money availablke at this time.
Thanks

Had the P2195 code on my 2010 Fusion SE 2.5L. What I found was the intake tube between the air filter and throttle body was lose and had popped off. The car wouldn't want to idle or run. Put the tube back on, and made sure the clamps were tight. Runs perfect and no code. Just a heads up for something else to look for.
