Please post more pix of that install and info like year suspension you used. Doing research on google I get conflicting info, some sites say the SC400 uses McPherson struts, some say IFS??? What is the hub bolt pattern and tread width?

My favorite SC400 version is the "DONK". I've seen a few like these around here, but in different colors.

Ax, the unit i am using is a 92/3, they are Ford bolt pattern but using metric studs.
The SC400 i parted out used a airbag setup that looks similiar to a McPherson strut i guess, but as you can see its a normal upper and lower a arm setup.
It would be VERY easy to setup using a coilover, however in my case i am going to use a bellcrank setup to run inboard airbags and shocks.
Any specific areas you want to see? I can take some more pics if you like.....

You sir, are a genius. And yes, a build/install thread would be much appreciated. That looks incredible. I want to know more about the steering hookup. Trackwidth?
Now grind that thing down and polish that aluminum!

P.S., yes, 1991 era Lexus's.. (Lexi?) are DIRT cheap. Lower than scrap value if the engine's toast, etc.

Lexus's aren't cheap around here, ~ 1500. for a project car, 4K for decent good runner.
Tread width is virtually the same and gross weight is close.

I will fit the rack and take some more pics, had a bit of a tidy up in my shed so i feel better now. LOL
Ax, most people most likely wont run the Lexus V8 as i plan to do, so the prices for donar cars to get the suspension out of will be pretty low.
The 4 litre V8 is a nice engine and a pretty common swap into all sorts of vehicles in Australia, including hot rods and classic trucks. Wire harnesses are readily available too.

But i for one think the front suspension is a nice fit into an effie, dont think its been done before but i dont mind being a test pilot so to speak. LOL

took a pic with the rack mounted, but note the clamp is not fitted to the L/H red urethane mount.
Also used the Lexus hardware to mount the sway bar, couldnt be easier.

Heres a link to the pic, John

I'm fascinated by this install! What is the ride (frame) height like compared to stock when the lower A frames are parallel to the ground? What is the outside frame width of your COE? Could you post a picture from the front shot at frame level and from the side at the same height without the wheel? Thanks in advance.
