Are all Screws 5 1/2ft bed?

Just curious. I like the the looks of some 150 screws but not if the bed is only 5 1/2. With a tool box there ain't much bed left? It's hard to tell when you are looking at them is a praking lot.

They also come with the 6.5 ft bed, just doesn't seem like there are a lot of them out there.
I'd like to see a SCrew with a long bed, that would be my preference.

I have the 6.5 ft. bed on mine. It is required if you want the HD payload package. It's a long truck, but I am okay with it. Nice big bed!

I have a Supercrew on order that will come with a 6.5' bed. I couldn't see hauling 8' sheet goods and other lumber with the short bed, not to mention I think the short bed is silly looking on a Screw.

Easiest way to tell a 5.5 from a 6.5 is to look at the amount of box in front of the rear wheel when viewing from the side. After you've seen a couple it becomes really easy to tell at a distance.

I had to custom order my truck as I wanted a Lariat and needed 40/20/40 front seat and 6.5' box. Dealer said that now a days most guys buy Lariats to use as a car so they rarely order any with 6.5' box. Apparently 40/20/40 in leather isn't common either.

I stayed with the 5.5ft bed screw 4x4...it fits in my garage, anything longer and I'd have to leave it outside.

I custom ordered my 2011 Screw Lariat Plus Package w/ the 6.5' bed, ecoboost and heavy tow pkg. (with the 3:73 gear) The neat thing about the 6.5' bed is that it doesn't cost any more than the short bed. The other advantage is that (like the Supercab) you can get the retractable side box steps. These are worth a lot when you need access to your tool box or the floor of the bed. The 6.5' is required to use for 5th wheel hitch mounting. This honey tows my 30' Rockwood 5r at least as well as the F250 V10 I traded in - with MUCH better mileage!!! Got the 40-20-60 seat and it is VERY comfortable on long trips!!!

I don't know. Those steps seem heavy, expensive, and prone to not extend out when dirt gets in (at the worst possible time of course).
Why not W2W nerf bars instead? Is there a disadvantage to those?

I live in Lakeland Florida - they don't freeze up a lot here. They are a godsend for an old coot like me - I also love the tailgate "man-step"!!

I can see the advantage of these steps - no doubt. But W2W nerf bars do the exact same, while being lighter, costing less, look better and won't be stuck. Just trying to find out what could make these steps preferable.
When I was shopping for a truck, I tried these steps, and on the first truck I tried, they worked fine on the drivers side, but would not come out on the passenger side. Needed some wiggling and pulling. No thanks was what I thought, especially since these steps alone are more expensive than a set of some of the W2W step bars.

I put an amp2 side-bed step on my truck. The directions sucked. The product is stout. But, it's not far enough toward the rear tire which is a major flaw. My tool box is 27" wide and the apm2 needs to be stepped-on in the middle. Not a great $200 investement. Thanks Cgartly for the advise on identifying a 6.75 box. I seen a thread with a pic of a 6.75 bed screw. Looks kinda long. I'd like to see one in person to judge. I still think I like the Tundra extra cab w/ normal door handles and 6.75 bed. I'm not a fan of my interior door handles.
