Engine Removal From 93 F250 4wd

Strange question but I may be removing the engine from my truck this spring/summer. Was thinking of getting one of the $99 engine lifts from Harbor Freight.

Question that popped in my head was that since our F250 4wd sit kinda high, would the lift actually have enough travel for the engine to clear the radiator support?

Have any of you removed your engines from an F250 using the HF $99 lift?

Truck is at the stock height.

Thanks

It should go high enough. You can always deflate the tires to lower it... also makes it easier to work on.

Might want to measure how far back your engine sits and how much clearance you'll need to reach it.

I saw a guy buy one of those and the arm is so short, it wouldn't reach back far enough to get the motor out of his car(whatever it was?). I was at local steel yard getting some supplies and he was there talking with counterman about finding longer tubing.

Just be careful.

It's easier to pull the core support ... Or as I do, the whole front clip, but then again I'm old and don't bend and flex like I used to ...

-Enjoy
