Introduction & what im doing today

Hey yall, shout out from Utah here! I have been browsing the forums for quite a while but I figured it was time for me to jump in and start sharing my project.

A few weeks ago I picked me up a 94.5 f-350 crew cab 7.3 powerstroke with 254k on it. Since then I have already done a few things to it I thought I would share with yall.

Here is a pic of it right when i first got it:

It already had quite a few new things on it like a new clutch, new master cylinder, new oil pan, new alternator, and a few other things.

I found it did need 1 new injector and a new starter so I changed those out and it ran way better cause the bad injector.

I also bought some nice new 17" american racing rims with some used 285/70/r17 big foot at's. Here is a pic:

I built an intake for it using a spectre power adder cone filter and a abs elbow. Works and sounds great. specs on the filter is 1100cfm. I then tuned it using a superchips handheld tuner.

Before I do any more performance additions to it I decided I really need to put in some gauges. So what im doing today is installing these:

Nice. I've been testing that filter for a year now and so for no problems with it.

Got the gauges in. I think maybe i need a turbo rebuild because I couldn't get the boost past 16psi and that took like 3k rpm. Any thoughts anyone?

Stock 90cc injectors with Superchips tuning and a stock Downpipe. That's probably all your going to see. I wouldn't worry too much.

Check for boost leaks and exhaust leaks. With that setup 18 will probably be the most you'll see

Thanks for the info guys. I was assuming stock boost would be more than that. So just a downpipe/exhaust would make a boost increase eh? how much like 2-3?

Thanks allot bud! It's a work in progress. By the way guys I just ordered a diamond eye 4 in turbo back kit, 5 in tip, and a pillar pod for my gauges.

You should contact them and change that 4" to a 3" DP. Unless you want to do some serious modifications to the firewall, that 4" will never fit

Good point, or at least find out what the down-pipe diameter is. If it's 4" all the way, that's some serious work to get it in. Even the 3" is rough, depending on where your engine is mounted.
