Im lifting my 1985 ford f150 and i found an 8inch lift kit by skyjacker and i was wondering how good is there kits. I was also wondering whats the highest i could go for coils with a kit and if there are better lift kits somewhere else i could get too? thanks
What do they include in a 8 inch lift? I would assume special driveshafts will have to be made or included in the kit? And what in the world do you do about the steering box pitman arm? Any lift puts more strain on the box because of the offset pitman you need to run, but one for 8 inches of lift? I don't see how it would work.
The other issue is that much more than 35's on the stock axles is pushing it. Now if it's a mall crawler that's fine, run up to 44's but for actual off road work swap a D60 in the front and a 10.25 in the rear and lift it that way.
