Rear end options with a crown Vic ifs?
#16
So what rear axle set-up is most compatible with an 03-07 CV IFS in an F-100 dent side? Factors to consider might include:
- matching the dual calipers and huge rotors on the front
- matching bolt pattern (16" wheels required, right?)
- using a compatible distribution block, master cylinder and booster
- keeping wheels inside fender line avoiding any rubbing
- readily available (reasonable cost)
I can't help you but others on here may , if not you might try posting this in the dent side forum . I spend a lot of time there and a few of them are using the CV IFS under their dent sides.

If I remember right it is 65.25 inches, that's close enough for me. I bought it cheap and it's limited slip so I'm going to use it. These 80 model trucks had drum brakes not disc but that's fine with me.
You can look at me gallery and see it installed and it does have 9 inch wheels on back.

Thanks. I'd need to convert drums to disk as well. What I was hoping for is a 9" unit that had the 5x4.5 bolt pattern AND disc brakes. I guess that I'm just too greedy/cheap.
