Carb number for Banks Big Head?

Anyone know if there is a CARB number or the EO number for the Banks Big Head to pass smog in California?

Don't know the answer but a call to Banks would get you the answer and I bet it would be the most reliable.

I emailed them, i was going to call them on friday if i don't hear from them before then. Was hoping for someone to come forward and give me the carb number and tell me they were in the same situation with only having the big head.

I don't claim to be an expert on anything CARB related. If the component doesn't effect emissions how can it be considered a problem? I suppose in a round about way they could tie it to the exhaust system. To me it is no different than replacing your inner-cooler boots. besides you could just peel off the BIG HEAD sticker and there would be little way of knowing it was any different.

Anyway, I did find this from 2010:

And here's the best news: Banks customers will be able to comply with California's new diesel smog check program. All Banks products awaiting EO testing will pass the visual inspection portion of the diesel smog test.

Its California that regulates it, if its a modification you can do they want to make sure if any Californian's install it on their rig they get paid, hence Banks paying money to get their stuff carb approved. i wouldn't be surprised if i installed an aftermarket radiator in i would have to have it carb approved.

friend of mine has the banks w/g on his workbench (just bought truck and a few goodies came with it, not installed). I'll check it out tomorrow and post up the findings.

Non stock wastegates like a Big Head must have a CARB EO number in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia. Intercoolers too. 6637 is ok, but the tech I went to almost failed me for it. Pretty much have to hide your mods.

Check out this list...

Well after a little searching it looks like the Wastegate is covered in this EO:
