There alliance batteries. I don't know the part number though. Vancouver frieghtliner has a sale on them every year and I've been lucky enough to hit it twice. Even at regular though I think they are still reasonably priced. I put a couple in one of my old tractors as well. It only gets started maybe once a month but never has battery problems. The main thing to consider is they are a commercial battery. The physical size is larger and doesn't hold down the same way as ours. I didn't feel like mucking around with this truck so I just bought two 850's for it. They were 260 with a full replacement 5 year warranty. Not pro rated.

I run motorcrafts in everything now. 130ish a piece for the 850cca and well worth it. When I took the pos fairly new wally world ones out of my boxes and put in the motorcrafts it turned over much faster. Thankfully I've got all fairly new motorcrafts in everything I have now.

Interesting. I've never seen motorcraft batteries. What is the life expectancy on them?

3 year free replacement, and a 100 month warranty. The last 2 I removed were one in my dad's V10 that was 10 years old, and one in my minivan that was 8 years old. Both still working but slowing down.

Interesting, it seems like they would be a worthwhile investment. I'll have to look around for some when I get back stateside.
