Do you think the F3 is in better shape then your f1? Remember yours has an engine and is running.
The things I see that I think you need to know about the f3
You can pick up a used bed for a f1....

- looks like someone changed to top of the bed sides like the chevy flat tops instead of the angled of the ford (Stu saw it also)
- No Front bumber. the one in the bed once again looks like a chevy or a car bumper.
- Missing drivers running board. f3's are harder to find.

A running F-1 for that? doesn't seem like a good swap to me

Another very important question is are you willing to do what it takes to put the F-3 on the road? That includes the obvious of finding an engine and installing it, but also brake work, and the necessary tire/wheel work at a minimum.

I don't see anything worthwhile here, either. The body is certainly in no better condition, and you'll be trading a complete, running truck for one without a drive train. Keep what' you've got and just search for better body pieces as you go. Unless I'm missing something here, that's my 2c.

I'm just amazed at the amount of rust on both trucks, I've never seen a dash that was really rusty to the point of needing sandblasting.

If the F3 has a solid cab and the owner is willing to sell it instead of trade, it could be beneficial. My thoughts were, based on the condition of what we can see, that it wouldn't be a step up. The fenders are gone and from the dash pic, you know the floor and cab corners aren't any better. And we're trading an F1 for an F3, with much less parts support so the degree of restoration difficulty is raised. There's a lot of trucks out there in much better condition that are much more usable. I've cut up stuff I considered junk that easterners would kill for. It's hard to believe people are arm wrestling over these.
