I know this might not be a big deal for some people but to me the tune and delete is making a difference. This is my first true tank after the delete.
In the past I might see at the most 250 miles b/c of mix driving and idling at the bank.
This tank, I did the same mixed driving but I idled for 30 minutes for the egr delete to get bubbles out of coolant system and today I drove 1 1/2 miles in an hour trying to get to park at an event.
I should see around 350 miles this tank if I waited to the very end.
Top that off NO smoking for 2 miles due to a regen every 100 miles or less.
I think you should be seeing about 0.5~1.5mpg better when driving unloaded. Guys who tow seem to get better improvements. I think not having that DPF makes the biggest difference when exhaust flow rate is high, like when towing or driving heavily loaded.
What does that matter? He would spend that same amount in two fill ups. Sooooo the point of your post was?
That was my way of pointing out he has a Titan tank.
Thought this was "Ford Truck Enthusiasts?" A forum for people to get help with their trucks and to share the same excitement about their trucks. Not a forum to go around trying to make people look stupid and question the point of a non-technical, opinioniated post.
I'm loving my Titan tank too! I've got the 60 gal tank and I've gone over 700+ miles and still had almost a quarter tank to go. yeah, it hurts sometimes at the pump, but as previously noted, it's still the same amount of $$ for the miles driven.... just less often at the filling station.
