Lap Belts & turn signals - check!

Finaly got around to installing turn signals, and lap belts. I could have saved myself several hours of wasted time if I had only remembered that I had LEDs in the back, and done a search on them. If I had I would have known that LEDs will not work with a regular flasher, as they operate by the heating and cooling of a piece of metal contained within them (this was clearly stated in the old thread I found right here on FTE). Oh well live and learn. OK to be consistent I changed out my front lites with direct replacement LEDs, got a LED flasher and wow, they worked, I even have emergency flashers. I also installed a set of lap belts bolted to/thru the cab floor useing the supplied hardware, Its probably suficient, but I will probably beef it up some more when I clean and paint the bottom of the cab, just for piece of mind.

Lookin good Jim, same switch set up as mine, works good but have become a bit of a spoiled old fart, I often forget to turn the darn thing off after turning a corner. Get pretty use to the auto off feature on my regular driving truck

Nice job Jim! Even though those turn signal units aren't necessairly factory, for some reason they just look right at home in these trucks.

i agree with the turn signals looking at home . same aftermarket unit my 53 has / had when i got it . got two sets of factory ones now from different old rust buckets that gave up parts for it .
