kinda newb, but new to the forum
I'm getting back into the 'ol fords.
story time:
When I was 12 My step-dad and I took 3 trucks and made them one. We cleaned up the frame, painted it, painted the truck. Swapped a 460 (conglomerate) in.
well, last june, he decided since he wasn't driving ol' gert, that he was selling her. He offered me a helluva deal, so I accepted. She's a 77f-250.
I knew the brakes weren't working right, the carb was leaking, and a host of other problems.
I set about trying to fix what I knew, and pulled it in the shop. At that point the accelerator pump decided to take all its fuel and promptly dump it on top of the motor. This obviously caught fire, and did a lil damage- dizzy, fuel line, plug wires, air cleaner, and a few wires.
it ran again the next day. Attempted to drive it home a week later. made it 60 miles of the 110 mile journey. oil pump failed, stripping the gear on the distributor. Not to mention the welds on the mufflers got so hot from the fuel ignition in them, that they melted the welds, and are toast.
Man I love this truck. I'm in Blaine, and grew up in Austin. Truck made it to Faribauilt- before being AAA'd home.
edit: I should mention that I'm almost 30 now, so it's been awhile. hence the kinda newb. I've forgotton alot.

Going to put new mufflers on it first. Looks pretty terrible with pieces of muffler hanging down. It's pretty loud right now
