Heck no, it was always cheaper and it should be if they bring it back

Manual Transmissions in 2014+

actually yes you can, its hard to find one but they are out there and if not you can just order a new truck with the level 4x4 on the floor. And your anything truck is almost what i want except i want vinyl seats and floor and air lockers front and back but a updated 7.3 with 6 speed manual
As for the 7.3L, I agree simply because the 7.3 is one of Fords greatest engines ever. Id actually rather have a modernized IDI, simply for the fact its nearly 100% mechanical. (As everyones heard in middle school..) Keep It Simple Stupid!

The only reason to ever stop on such an incline that a parking brake is insufficient while towing is to open a gate... in which case remote start offers no advantage.
Remote start simply allows your engine to be warm before you hop in. If you're parking in such a manner that you need both the parking brake and engine to hold your vehicle from rolling away, I suggest you get a block heater... or plug in the one you already have.

Manual is where it's at! Every F series truck I've owned was a manual, and when I bought my 2005 F350 SD I searched high and low for a manual.
I have friends with autos, and I am appalled at how much higher their maintenance costs are, never mind the excess wear on the braking system. I haul a 34' tow behind travel trailer, with my Heritage Softail in the box of the truck, I just did a brake job at 89000 miles! The shop was shocked that I was still on the original factory brake pads.
Manual forever for me! And yes I would be willing to pay a little extra if Ford would offer up the option in a new vehicle.

Every Ford truck I have owned since 1984 has had a manual transmission, because that's what we had in our farm trucks, when I learned to drive. Also, every vehicle I have ever owned with an automatic the transmission went out. I even converted some from auto to manual. There are 3 Ford trucks in our yard, my 1999 f-250 7.3 6 speed, 1959 f-100 big block and 4 speed, and the Sportrac 4.6 auto. It's the only automatic we own, even the two small sports cars we have are manual transmissions. I will never buy another truck that has an automatic, even if it means I'm stuck with old trucks forever. I have had automatics torn apart and the parts are too small to pull a 5,000 + pound vehicle down the road, the Ford z-f has large gears and bearings designed for hauling loads, and they don't break. Bring back the Z-F!!!

I commented on this when it was a new thread and my statement still stands:
KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid!
Now 8 speed autos are the norm... That's just more gears to burn up.
Although since purchasing my '03 Excursion, I am a little more apathetic towards autos. That 5R110 is awesome! Although if I keep it for an extended period of time, a ZF6 swap will be in the works

I regularly put a Fat Bob in the box... 109,000 and still going on the original brakes.

Two more cylinders, a front axle, fewer options, less payload weight... It's one year younger.
I don't think it is "more truck", but I guess it depends if you need passengers or cargo. A back seat would've been a waste for me. Add 4x4 to mine, and maybe It'd reach that price... 7 years ago.
My point is, that one seems to be severely overpriced. Maybe at a premium for a 6-speed?
