Question 76 F100 460 oil pan swap?

I'm heading off to the junk yard tomorrow to search for an oil pan out of van with a 460. A couple questions for anyone who can help.

Will a van oil pan (460) fit that of any other 460?

I recall reading that the drain plug on a truck's oil pan is located above the cross member. Is this true?

I also recall reading that the drain plug on a van is better located . Where exactly is it located?

The 460 I have came from a 79 Lincoln. Is the drain plug location different from that on the truck/van.

I'm looking for an oil pan that will allow me to change the oil without the oil dripping on the frame. Does anyone have any other recommendations and are there any other items I should take into consideration.

76 F100 460 oil pan swap?

An oil pan from a van will work as the sump is at the center of the pan as with the drain plug. I am using a pan from a 90's 4x4 as the sump is at the back as with the plug. Just be sure to grab the dip stick pickup tube and main stud with the pan.
