Little bit of help please?
Hi guys, did phasers on my 04 f150 5.4.
Did drivers a few days ago, I thought it went good, put it back together, no codes and dove good (plus that side was quiet!)
Did pass side yesterday, thought it went good until I started it.... Has a rough idle, no power and code p0012.
What did I do wrong? And what do I need to do to fix it?
Thanks!

From "http://www.obd-codes.com/p0012"
P0012 - "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Retarded (Bank 1)
A code P0012 refers to the VVT (variable valve timing) or VCT (variable camshaft timing) components and the car's PCM (powertrain control module, also called an ECM). That consists of a few different components but the P0012 DTC specifically refers to the camshaft (cam) timing. In this case, if the cam timing is over-retarded, the engine light will be illluminated and the code will be set. The "A" camshaft is either the intake, left, or front camshaft.
A P0012 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
Incorrect camshaft timing
Wiring problems (harness/wiring) in intake timing control valve control solenoid system
Continuous oil flow to VCT piston chamber
Failed timing valve control solenoid (stuck open)
The main thing to check is to verify the operation of the VCT solenoid. You're looking for a sticking or stuck VCt solenoid valve caused by contamination. Refer to vehicle specific repair manual to perform component tests for the VCT unit. Notes: Dealer techs have advanced tools and the ability to follow detailed troubleshooting steps, including the ability to test components using a scan tool.
Other related DTCs: P0010 - P0011 - P0020 - P0021 - P0022

Sounds like you could have the timing a tooth off if your getting no power P0012 and it just started after doing the phasers. Could be the VCT actuator or a loss of oil pressure to it. If it is an oil pressure loss more than likely you have a blown timing chain tensioner seal. If the ticking is really bad I always recommend to a customer that they have the tensioners replaced and the guides checked. My truck had a blown seal and two broken guides which threw the p0012 code as well.

OK then you may be on a hunt now. It seems you did everything correct for the phasers so must be something else causing the idle issue and lost of power and it just didn't show it self until now. Would seem something is not right but if you have double checked it all and everything is good then move to something else that could be wrong.
Double check the plugs to make sure everything is tight and the COP's didn't move off some. A few guys around here have had an issue with plugs popping back out and moving the COP's. Maybe look at the injectors and see that they are working correctly.
