Surpentine Belt 94 F-150

My A/C Clutch burned up and locked. dont want to replace until next year. I have the 5.0L v-8. Was this engine ever built that didnot have an A/C compressor on it. And is there a belt I can buy to replace this one for a shorter one so I can bypass the Compressor? Thanks, Jay

Can you give me a little more information on this eliminator bracket and pulley set up. Is this a Ford parts counter kit or also available at a local parts house? Any idea on the cost?

Thanks I appreciate the information,

Probably not. When I went to replace the serpentine belt on my '94 F-150 with the 5.8 I thought they would ask me a dozen questions like does it have this, does it have that etc. not a single question. It's possible the 5.0 could be different, but you may have to take jk89's advice.

Spend the money and get the AC repaired. I had a bad fan clutch too. It cost about $350 to get it fixed. But after getting the AC recharged last summer was a breeze. My F250 with the 6 cyl. cranks out the snowballs no problem and that's with 1-1/2 tons of 3/8" white stone in the bed. And I do that all day long. That cold AC made me feel like I was on a tropical island drinking Mi Ties . My "Plain Jane" 95' Ford F250 stick 6cyl. is one tough truck! I'd never own another brand.

Here's a sample of offerings from summit. Talk to their tech dept. Fs & Broncos are #7.

yes you can get it from ford roughly $80ish dollars for both parts of it. iwent with the summit link however most of the discount parts houses should have it or be able to get it easily

I appreciate that information and the links provided. Looks like a cheap easy way to get back on the road.....at least until summer heat moves back in.

just make sure you close up your ac lines well. plastic plugs and duct tape work well!

When I bought my 95 with 5.0 the ac clutches frozen & just bypassed entirely with a shorter belt. It's totally possible without the ac eliminator.

just run a piece of string the same routing as what the belt would go and measure it. the parts store can get you a belt off that lengh

Exactly! I'd tell you the length but it's still in the truck running & was put in by the previous owner.
